I grew up in a small, rural town in Northern California, where all 3000 people knew each other and treated each other like family. I have one younger sister, who is my best friend, and a mother who still live in northern California. My dad and stepmom have lived in San Diego County for years now, which made my decision to move quite easy in 2017. In my free time, I enjoy taking my dog, Zoey, on walks and hikes, spending quality time with friends and family, watching Netflix, and going line dancing on the weekends.

In high school and community college, I got a job at my local McDonald's working the cash register and drive thru. With strong work ethic and dedication, I was promoted to crew trainer where I taught new employees how to be McStars. While a student at UC Davis, I held an internship at the preschool on campus, where I got my first taste of teaching. I worked with a small group of learners and was invited back to be a 1:1 for a student with Autism and Speech Apraxia. I also worked with transfer students as a Community Assistant for student housing apartments. I helped facilitate move-in, mentored new students, and held events to make connections in the community. After graduation, I was offered a job as a preschool teacher, where I spent a year learning more about teaching. When I moved to Oceanside, I became an ABA therapist for children with Autism. The skills I learned as a behavior therapist helped me when I was an Academic Coach and have continued to be beneficial as an Education Specialist.
